On the second day of our trip we headed into the "City"! We spent the day on 5Th Avenue shopping, having lunch at Rockefeller Plaza and then met up with an old high school friend, Matt and his girlfriend Rachel for a NY Rangers Hockey game!
Rockefeller Plaza-
home of NBC, The Today Show, Radio City Music Hall, the Rockefeller Christmas Tree and the Ice Skating Rink turned cafe in the summer!

30 Rock - beautiful!

St. Patrick's Cathedral
The underground Apple Store
Adie loved these fountains on 5Th Avenue near Central Park. In fact she loved them so much she wouldn't keep her hands out of the water... until the security guard told her it wasn't clean.
How fun! Getting to play on the "Big" piano! This is a new thing! The last times I have visited FAO Schwarz the piano was on display and they would do shows on it but we have never got to play on it ourselves!
Love this picture! She had a great time!
Our next stop on 5Th Avenue (actually we had to back track because we missed it, oops) was The American Girl Doll Store! What a treat!
We took Adie in and told her she could pick an outfit for "Addison" her bitty twin that Santa brought her last Christmas. She picked a cute little purple nightgown, with a white bunny robe and white bunny slippers. What we didn't anticipate was how badly she would want Addison's hair done at the Doll Salon! She got right in line and said Addison's next! Ha, so cute! So yes I admit to paying $10 to have Addison's hair combed and styled... and hey she got a "sponge bath" too!
Addison before...A walk through Times Square
on the way to Madison Square Gardens for the hockey game
To end our great day in the city we met up with an old high school friend of mine that works at Madison Square Gardens. Matt and his girlfriend Rachel treated us a NY Rangers Hockey Game in a suite, on center ice!!! Jeremy was in HEAVEN! Thanks guys! It was the first time we had met Rachel and she was super sweet! Of course I'm kicking myself that we didn't get a picture with them!

Looks like you had fun! And I am very jealous that Adie got to jump on the big piano!
Great pictures! It's good to hear more from you, and it looks like ya'll had a great time. I agree about Addison's hair styling. $10 is totally worth all the joy!
