We spent 3 days in Lubbock with my great friend Brooke and her family! We had a million and a half things to do and see since I hadn't been to Lubbock in soooo long! On Sunday we went and had Spanky's burgers by campus and met up with my cousin Lyndsay who is 16 weeks prego! Congrats Lyns and Ricky! After an afternoon of running around with 4 kids 3 and under strapped into Brooke's mini-van we decided the next day was going to require a babysitter! And besides that it is a really strange feeling to be driving around your college town with your best Friend that you met on your first day of class at Tech when you were only 18 years old in a mini-van with 4 kids... um can I say times have changed!!! Too funny! Any how Brooke and I had an awesome time catching up, shopping and eating! I was so happy to get to spend a few days with her and have a less hectic schedule than we had in Dallas! And since we were in Texas we had to go to the pool! Pics to come on that one, Brooke has them!
Adie and Brayden
Brayden
Adie and her big personality!
Aubrey, Emery, and Adeline
Emery - so darn cute!
Adeline.... wouldn't keep her swimsuit on!"On the road again..." And then, sadly, it was time to head home. We drove 2 hours north to "Amarillo by morning" and picked up Jeremy's mom who had flown in from Denver just to ride back with us. After several hours of shopping and picking up Deyer's BBQ ribs for my husband we were off! "Rocky Mountain High Colorado" here we come. A good drive always inspires great music! We were home by midnight - 8 days, to many miles to even begin to count, 5 pounds heavier, a new truck, 13 inches shorter and some great visits with friends and family that are never long enought, the trip was over... back to reality!
It was great seeing everyone, I can't wait to do it all over again... maybe then next time a few days longer and at a bit of a slower pace! Love you guys!
