12 days of Christmas... and then some! (Day 1 - 5)

Our Christmas holiday was very busy! It seemed to go on and on! We had lots of company including Jeremy's 2 brothers, wives and kids as well as my Dad, Colby and Paige's parents and grandmother. (Paige is my sis-in-law married to the youngest bro).
Day 1 - Saturday Dec 20
The holidays began on the evening of the 20th when Colby arrived. He was supposed to be here the Thursday before but getting here just wasn't working out for him. On Thursday SWA booted him off the plane for fear of bad weather (he was traveling alone). On Friday morning he missed his plane and finally on Saturday he made it. Still it was alittle hectic because this was the evening that Continential airlines crashed a plane at DIA, we were really happy he was already half way here by then so he didn't get canceled. Anyway 3rd times a charm!
Day 2 - Sunday Dec 21
We had told Colby he could open his "Santa" present early because he was returning back to his Mom's on the 26th. We wanted to make sure he had time to play with it and since he had recently learned the story of Santa we felt like this would work out! And of course you can't let one kid open a present without the other!
Wii!

Adie was very excited to finally get to open something! After all she had been staring at all of the presents under the tree for about a month!

Doodlepro! Which has really turned out to be a great hit!

Day 3 - Monday Dec 22

Another trip to the airport! And for those of you that don't know... it's NOT close! Anyway, today my Dad arrives! Which is always exctiting for me. He had said he was probably not going to make it this year, so I was really excited when he called last minute and said he was coming!

Not a great pic... but hey it's documented none the less!

Day 4 - Tuesday Dec 23

Ski Day! @ Winter Park! Well for most everyone! Those of us that are 7 months prego didn't get to go, which was kinda sad because there was a great dumping of snow the night before which made for awesome fresh powder skiing. I am told however that it continued to snow throughout the day and was really cold! So I'm not sad about missing that part! This one is not well documented... that's what happens when you send your husband with the camera! Jeremy's oldest brother Creighton, wife Kimberly and Catherine (4) arrive late this evening as well. They made a 14 drive from Missoula, MT to join us!

Day 5 - Wednesday Dec 24

Christmas Eve! Yeah it's finally here! I really do love this time of year! And with kids it makes it so much more fun! This day was jamb packed full! Eric (youngest bro), wife Paige and their new baby Addison (3 months) arrived from New York City, after a 4 hour delay! We took the kids to early church, which wasn't quite what any of us had in mind but hey at least we went.

Catherine & Adie dressed for church, baby Addison matched Adie but I don't have a pic of that..oops!

And then the start of traditions! Every year on Christmas eve my kids get to open a present... of course, chosen by me... it's not a free for all! Anyway, in this package is Christmas pj's and a Christmas book to read that night before bed. Jeremy's mom got into the tradition this year and got Catherine and Addison the same.

The kids waiting to open presents! The girls shirts say "santa's helper" and Colby's says "elf's apprentice" since he's in on the secret.
